The beholder comes across a tragic scene, a battle of life and death, involving a defeated wild boar and three hunting dogs, carrying no mercy in their aggressive intent. The ill-fated boar finally breaks, sitting back on it`s hind legs. A defeated weary look takes hold of her eyes, as a weak cry of pain and sorrow escapes out of her tusked mouth; enveloping the viewer with the sadness of its last earthly emotions. The dogs leap, unrelenting, around the boar, with snarled teeth and raised scruffs. At the end of the attack, the laws of nature will unyieldingly keep their balance; with life continuing on after death. The handmade bronze sculpture was cast using the age-old method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for preservation. It is mounted upon a black marble base with the artist Lecoutier signature.
